"The Missing Link" ... that is how the Board of the
Health Care Payors Coalition described
PIC's Physician Driven Health Plan Improvement Program. Bringing
the Practicing Physicians into active partnership with plan sponsors and
benefit consultants completes the circle for the decade long initiatives
of the Health Care Payors Coalition. After PIC's successful presentation to the Health Care Payors Coalition in September, PIC joined the HCPC on behalf of all of our member physicians. Through this membership and PIC's pilot program with The Stettler Group, the stage is set for the PIC Physicians to collaborate with the members of the Health Care Payors Coalition to assist them in improving their health care benefits. Many of the early adopters of the Health Plan Improvement Program are likely to be local Union Health Benefit funds. To the extent we as a Physician Organization can assist these local businesses and trades to become healthier while reducing health care costs, we will be able to assist in strengthening our local economy and the people who live and work in Central New Jersey |
